1926 – 2015
AUBURN — Dorris E. Mynahan, 89, of Auburn, passed away on Wednesday, Aug. 26, at the Clover Manor with her family by her side.
She was born in Auburn on April 20, 1926, the daughter of Conrad and Fabiola (Legendre) Levesque. She attended Auburn schools and was a graduate of Edward Little High School, Class of 1943.
On Sept. 17, 1949, she married Maurice P. Mynahan. He died on March 24, 2015.
Dorris worked for over 25 years for the Lewiston School Department in the lunch program until her retirement.
She was a longtime member of the former St. Patrick’s Church where she was also a choir member and the Rosary Sodality. She also belonged to the Red Hats Local Chapter.
She is survived by her sons, Patrick and wife, Sandra, of Poland, James and wife, Jennie, of Auburn and Michael of Lewiston; her daughters, Kathleen DeLong and husband, Thomas, of Barrington, N.H., and Eileen Cosby and husband, Richard, of Idaho Springs, Colo.; 12 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. She also leaves many nieces and nephews.
Besides her husband, she was predeceased by her sisters, Irene Tourigny, Ella Myrick and Rita Levesque; her brother, Gerald Levesque; and by her grandson, Brendan Patrick Mynahan.
