DURHAM — Jeffrey Wakeman and Deborah Larrabee were elected Friday to three-year terms on the Board of Selectmen with 166 and 137 votes, respectively.
Gregory Wilson received 88 votes, Troy Planche got 57, and Daryl Pratt had 44. Write-ins Norman Newell, Michelle Thibeault and Mark Blake had 42, 16 and 5 votes, respectively.
Budget Committee member William Morrill was re-elected with 254 votes. The other two openings were filled by Allan Purinton with 99 write-ins and Donald Thorne with 13.
The outcome of the Regional School Unit 5 Board of Directors, for which there were no candidates for a vacant seat, was unclear Friday night. Jane Blais, Charles Pollack and James Beaulieu each received three write-in votes, and seven others got two write-ins each.
Pauline Paradis got 312 votes to be re-elected tax collector and 319 votes to be re-elected treasurer. She was unopposed.
A total of 338 voters cast ballots. The town has 3,438 registered voters.
The annual town meeting gets under way at 9 a.m. Saturday at the Durham Elementary School gym on Hallowell Road.
