Edna E. Michaud


LEWISTON – Edna E. Michaud, 92, went to be with our Lord on April 20.

She was born on April 7, 1914, in Frenchville, a daughter of Noe and Clementine (Rossignol) Dubois. She was educated in Frenchville until her family moved to Lewiston and resided on Elm Street, She met and married the love of her life in July of 1931, Donat L. Michaud. They resided in Lewiston and Auburn all of their married life, where they raised and loved their children. Donat passed away in April 1978. She worked in the local shoe industry until her retirement in 1986 at the age of 72.

Everyone who knew her loved her, from her family to her neighbors and friends. She was an avid bingo player and was known and loved by all there. She also loved to play cards with family and friends. The greatest joy of her life was spending time with her family and was happiest when everyone got together for the Michaud’s “Christmas in July” parties and the family reunions at Christmas. She also loved to travel and spent many happy times on trips with her daughter Connie, her son John and her niece Joan. She will be sadly missed by all whose lives she touched and made better.

She is survived by her daughter, Constance and son, Richard (John) Michaud of Lewiston, with whom she made her home; sons, Pierre (Pete) and wife, Ann, of Lewiston, Normand and wife, Marilyn, of Sabattus, Edward and wife, Doris, of Lewiston and daughter in-law, Terry of Danville; 17 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; sister, Yvonne Hamel Thibodeau; and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her parents; husband; a son, Gerard A. Michaud in 1982; and a son, Richard Donald Michaud in 1933.
