Elaine P. Sturtevant


LIVERMORE – Elaine P. Sturtevant, 68, a resident of Norlands Road in Livermore, died unexpectedly Monday, July 2, at her home.

She was born on Oct. 27, 1938, in Livermore, the daughter of Albert and Yvonne (LeBrasseur) Poulin. She was a 1956 graduate of Livermore Falls High School. She married Blaine “Bing” Sturtevant in February 1958; they later divorced.

She worked for Livermore Falls Trust Co., Carlton Woolen Mill in Winthrop and TD Banknorth, retiring in 2001. She was a member of the VFW Post 3335 Auxiliary of Jay.

Her hobbies were making afghans and crossword puzzles. She always looked forward to the time she spent with her grandchildren.

She is survived by a daughter, Tracy Richards, and her husband, Marty, of Livermore; two sons, Anthony Sturtevant of Litchfield and Terrence Sturtevant of West Gardiner; four sisters, Doris Folkes, and her husband, William, of Port Clyde and Galveston, Texas, Irene Fournier of Jay, Violet Frechette, and her husband, Napoleon, of Jay and Lucille Desjardins, and her husband, Clement, of Livermore; five grandchildren, Sarah Sturtevant, Mackenzie Sturtevant, Zachary, Chad and Kiarra Richards.

She was predeceased by two brothers, Raymond and Ernest Poulin.
