Eleanor (Polley) Savignano


AUBURN – Eleanor (Polley) Savignano, 72, of Auburn, formerly of Needham, Mass., and Myrtle Beach, S.C., died Friday, July 6, at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center in Lewiston.

Born in Lewiston, she spent her ealier years in Auburn, before moving to Needham in 1965. She resided in Needham for 21 years, and later moved to Myrtle Beach, S.C. in 1986. She lived in Myrtle Beach for 13 years.

Her husband of many years, Joseph, died in 1999.

She later moved to Cumberland, R.I., and Cream Ridge, N.J., before moving back to Auburn, where she spent the last year.

She is survived by her two sons, Paul Savignano of Turner, and Gary Savignano and his wife, Patricia, of Cream Ridge, N.J. She was the sister of Marilyn and the late Ralph “Brud” Polley. She also leaves her dear grandchildren, Katelyn, Nicholas, Tyler and Robert Savignano.
