FARMINGTON — The members of the Farmington Emblem Club 460 met recently when the Past Presidents were honored.
Each Past President mentioned something special about their year as President. Current President Rebecca Powell gave each woman a Franklin Memorial Hospital Auxiliary cookbook. The April meeting was also State President Marty Peters’ visitation to Farmington. Powell and Debbie Holt prepared a boiled dinner for the occasion.
Peters and her Marshal, Beverly Dart, were escorted to the meeting room by Club Marshal Candace Clark. The meeting was opened with the stationing of the flags of the United States of America. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited, the National Anthem sung and opening prayer was given.
Peters brought greetings from the State Association and gave a thank you gift to Powell. Powell presented Peters a gift from the club.
The club will host a blood drive at the Franklin Memorial Hospital in April.
Winners of the monthly raffles were: Shannon Smith, mystery gift; Nancy Chase, 50/50; and Valerie Taylor, pot of gold.
The annual Father’s Day breakfast will be held on Sunday, June 20. Members Night Out will be Tuesday, May 11 and the next club meeting will be Thursday, May 6.
