LOVELL — Do you like to make up tall tales? Guess who’s telling the truth? Relax and laugh at human foibles?
The Brick Church for the Performing Arts will open its 2011 season on Friday, June 17, with a new kind of storytelling festival — one in which audience members can join in the storytelling.
Five storytellers from Lovell and Sweden — Cyndi Broyer, Dell Foss, Richard Rice, Anna Romer and Davy Sturtevant — will present an evening of moving, often hilarious and mostly true stories. In between performances, emcee Jo Radner will invite audience members to share their own memories or participate in thought-provoking, or just plain funny, story games.
The Community Storytelling Festival will begin at 7:30 p.m.The Brick Church is on Christian Hill Road.
The event is free. For more information, call 925-6244 or visit www.lovellbrickchurch.org.
