RUMFORD — A Mass of Christian burial for Eugene L. Bellegarde, of West Paris, was conducted on Saturday, Aug. 8, at 10 a.m., at Parish of the Holy Savior, St. Athanasius – St. John Church, 126 Maine Ave., Rumford, with the Rev. Alfred Jacques as celebrant. Altar sssistant was Bernard Poirier. Organist was Mark Belanger. Music selections included “Ave Maria,” “Amazing Grace,” “Be Not Afraid” and “How Great Thou Art.” The first reading from Job 29: 2-7 was pronounced by his daughter, Marianne Gould. The second reading from Revelations 3: 20-21 was pronounced by his granddaughter, Rachel Wilday. The Prayers of the Faithful were pronounced by daughter, Doreen Madore. Presenting the gifts were his nephews, Peter and Chuck Bellegarde. The eulogy was given by his son, Eugene Bellegarde Jr. Committal services were conducted by the Rev. Alfred Jacques. Interment was at the Woodlawn Cemetery, Andover. A reception followed the services at the Christian Education Building of the Andover Congregational Church, Andover.
