GRAY — Fairy houses and gardens are incredibly popular with children today. The public is invited to the Maine Wildlife Park in Gray from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 29, to meet and have pictures taken with “real” fairies; then make and take home a small fairy house, made with all natural materials — a great activity for all kids, young and old.
Weekend events continue through late summer and into fall, including the annual Rick Charette concert, Northwoods Law Day and the Halloweenfest.
The Maine Wildlife Park is open daily from April 17 through Nov. 11 from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.; visitors may stay until 6 p.m.
Admission to the park is free for ages 3 and under; $5.50 for ages 4-12; $7.50 for adults and $5.50 for seniors. Groups of 15 or more are $3.50 per person. Family and community season passes are available.
