RUMFORD — Ayla Allaen scored 10 goals and Nicole Lavorgna added another three as Mountain Valley walked all over Lincoln Academy, 17-8, in a girls’ lacrosse game Thursday.
The Falcons (4-7) jumped out to a 9-3 by halftime and topped off their would-be victory with eight more goals in the second half.
Tia White scored two goals and had three assists and Brittany Bedard dropped in a pair of goals.
For the Eagles (2-18), Molly Stackhouse punched in five goals and Lexi Fossette, Celia Howland and Allison Fisher each scored once.
Messalonskee 16, EL 3
OAKLAND — Madison Kadnar and Ally Beflile netted four goals each to lead Messalonskee to a 16-3 victory over Edward Little in a late-season KVAC girls’ lacrosse tilt Thursday.
Abbey Stacey, Ali Omsberg and Haley Pelletier all added two goals for the Eagles, while single goals from Hannamarie Caldwell and Amy Jose completed the scoring. Sara Jacques made eight saves to notch the win.
The Red Eddies (3-8) were paced by Kate Sawyer with a pair of goals, while Saydi Voisine also tallied. Ashley Butler and Morgan Emerson combined for 16 saves between the posts for Edward Little.
Brunswick 16, Lewiston 3
LEWISTON — Annie Kelly registered a hat trick Thursday while three of her teammates scored two as Brunswick raced away to a 16-3 win over Lewiston in KVAC girl’s lacrosse.
Maggie Caputi, Jacki Kelly and Dakota Foster all scored twice for the Dragons, while seven others also tallied to complete the scoring. Molly Herman made 12 saves for Brunswick to notch the win.
The Blue Devils (4-7) were paced by Kristen Lacasse with two goals, while Kayla Hamel also tallied. Emily Craig turned aside 15 shots between the posts for Lewiston.
Mt. Ararat 16, Oxford Hills 7
TOPSHAM — Hayley LaPointe scored four goals and added an assist to lead Mt. Ararat to a 16-7 victory over a determined Oxford Hills in a KVAC girls’ lacrosse tilt Thursday.
Heather Bolduc chipped in for the Eagles with three goals, while Whitney Dano, Rowley Jones and Kristina Johnson all netted two. Hannah Fenwick, Haley Michaud and Carrie Smith also tallied to complete the scoring. Evelyn Dickinson made seven saves to record the win.
The Vikings (7-4) outscored their opponents 5-3 in the second half. Heather Knights led the squad with four goals and one assist, while Ebony Mills tallied twice and Hannah Warren also scored. Veteran goalkeeper Mariah Kimball was rock-solid all afternoon, turning aside 20 shots for Oxford Hills.
