Fernande S. Pelletier


JAY – Fernande S. Pelletier, 93, a resident of Main Street, Jay, died Tuesday, April 4, at her home surrounded by her loved ones.

She was born July 20, 1912, in Lewiston, the daughter of Joseph and Euphrien (Thibeau) Lepage. She attended the schools of Livermore. On Sept. 20, 1931, she married Antonio “Babe” Pelletier at St. Rose of Lima Church in Jay. Mr. Pelletier passed away on Nov. 21, 1983.

She was a devoted homemaker to her husband and large family. She was a communicant of St. Rose of Lima Church in Jay. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, playing bingo, cards, and knitting.

She is survived by three sons, Norman Pelletier and long-time companion, Nancy Benedetto, of Livermore Falls, Lionel Pelletier and his wife, Christine, of Livermore Falls and Adrian Pelletier of Livermore Falls; six daughters, Lorraine Gray and her husband, Bernard, of East Livermore, Constance Lawson of Livermore Falls, Annette Moody of Winthrop, Jacqueline Furst of Jay, Jeannine Moody of Livermore Falls and Bernice Pelletier of Jay; three sisters, Evette Chretien of Livermore Falls, Lorette Dennis of Lewiston and Noella Dostie of Lewiston; 37 grandchildren; 61 great-grandchildren; and 28 great-great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her husband, Antonio Pelletier; an infant son, Leo Pelletier; two daughters, Vivian Pelletier and Dolores Genthner; two grandsons, Norman Pelletier Jr. and James Pelletier; three sisters, Jean LeBlond, Emilienne Chretien and Theresa Lepage; four brothers, Bert Lepage, Adrien Lepage, Noel Lepage and Fern Lepage.

Her family would like to thank the nurses, social worker and chaplain of Androscoggin Home Care and Hospice for the care that was provided to Fernande during her illness.
