More than 1,000 people signed up for Sunday morning’s 5K Bridge Run, the last in the Triple Crown Series road races whose goals are to create a better sense of community, promote healthy activities and raise support for and awareness of three partnering charitable organizations: the Auburn-Lewiston YMCA, the Fletcher Foundation and the Bridge Run Foundation. Ryan Smith (350) is in the lead pack Sunday morning as the runners cross the Bernard Lown Peace Bridge from Auburn into Lewiston, where Smith pulled away from the field and easily won the race.
