FARMINGTON — University of Maine Cooperative Extension tourism professional Marc Edwards will present the results of the brook trout anglers in Maine survey at 6 p.m. Friday, April 30, at the extension’s Franklin County office.
The University of Maine Cooperative Extension recently completed an extensive research project on brook trout anglers in Maine. The extension worked with the Maine Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife and fishing guides to better understand brook trout anglers’ preferences for brook trout fishing experiences and regulations as well as basic demographic information.
The results of the research will support Maine Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife Wild Brook Trout Initiative and help fishing-related tourism businesses provide quality brook trout angling experiences. More than 10,000 anglers completed the survey.
For more information, contact the extension office at 778-4650, 1-800-287-1478 or e-mail email@example.com. The program is open and accessible to all.
