AUBURN — Florence F. “Tuttie” Nyulaszi, 81, of 211 Randall Road, Lewiston, passed away on Tuesday, April 20, with her loving daughters by her side at the Hospice House of Androscoggin.
She was born in Starks on Jan. 3, 1929, the daughter of Francis and Stella Westleigh. She was educated in Maine schools.
She was married to Stephen M. Nyulaszi in 1952 at St. Joseph’s Church in Lewiston, where she remained a parishioner until its closing. She was also a member of the Queens Guild Society within St. Joseph’s Parish. She was currently a parishioner of Holy Family Parish.
She and her family moved to New Jersey in 1969, where she became very involved with her daughters’ activities. She was a Girl Scout leader; a member of the Parent Teachers Association; a classroom mother; and was active in many other programs and groups.
Upon returning to Maine in 1978, Florence became active within the church. She worked for Marden’s Discount at the warehouse from 1984 to 1992. From 1995 through 1999, she was a senior companion volunteer for Androscoggin Home Care and Hospice.
She is survived by her daughter, Lisa A. Hall of Lewiston; her children, Matthew R. Hall, Stephanie N. Hall and Nicholas R. Hall; a daughter, Karla M. Blouin and her husband, Roger, of Lewiston; and their children, Justin M. Blouin and Brady A. Blouin; and her great-granddaughter, Kayleigh N. Locke; her siblings, Charlotte Duchette, Milford Westleigh, Georgette Brooks, all of Lewiston, and Roland Westleigh of Auburn; and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents; her brothers Albert, Sherlon, Arthur, and Kenneth Westleigh; and her sisters, Margaret Larabee and Arlene “Bobbie” Jordan.
