WINDSOR (AP) – Four men, including three brothers, were arrested Tuesday for allegedly breaking into a home and duct-taping a disabled man to his refrigerator while robbing him of more than $2,000 in cash.

James McInniss, 27, and brothers Jacob, 22, and Justin, 23, all of Windsor, and Marc Miville, 33, of Monmouth, were charged with robbery, burglary, theft by unauthorized taking and marijuana cultivation.

The arrests were the result of an investigation into the July 8 home invasion in which intruders taped Eugene Varney, who uses a wheelchair, to his refrigerator while ransacking his home and taking between $2,000 and $5,000 from a safe.

A search warrant was executed Tuesday at the McInnis brothers’ residence in Windsor, said Kennebec County Sheriff Randall Liberty.

During the search, deputies located cash and old coins that were taken, as well as camouflage clothing and a pickup truck that fit descriptions of witnesses.

Police also found 10 marijuana plants and growing equipment, Liberty said.
