LEWISTON — Frank L. Stevens, 75, a resident of Sprague Mills Road, Greene, died April 28, at d’Youville Pavilion.
He was born Aug. 25, 1934, in Greene, the son of Albert G. Stevens Sr. and Hazel M. Wilkins Stevens. He was a 1952 graduate of Lewiston High school. He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War; he served boot camp in New York, was stationed in Anchorage, Alaska, for two years and was discharged at Andrews Air Force base in Washington, D.C.
On April 6, 1962, in Greene, he married Maxine Wells of Monmouth. He was a supervisor at Albany Felt, now known as Tex Tech Industries in North Monmouth for 42 years, retiring in 1995.
He was a member of VFW 1603 and was a Mason with Monmouth Lodge 110. He enjoyed wood working, especially making furniture and nick knacks; he was an avid reader and read the Reader’s Digest every night.
He is survived by his wife, Maxine of Greene; a son, James H. Stevens and his wife, Debra, of Minot; two daughters, Carla Pottle of Greene and Pamela Stevens of Turner; five grandchildren, Kayla and Tyler Pottle, Amanda and Eric Stevens and Marshall Roy; a sister, Edna Prince and her husband, Robert, of Ocala, Fla.; four brothers, Albert Stevens Jr. and his wife. Beverly, of Sabattus, Richard Stevens and his wife. Patricia, of Greene, Robert Stevens and his wife. Beverly, of Sabattus and Clifford (Buzz) Stevens and his wife. Dianne, of Monmouth; and a sister-in-law, Estella (Peggy) Stevens of Sabattus.
He was predeceased by a brother, Walter Stevens in 1999; and a sister, Eleanor M. Stevens in 2006.
