ATV safety

JAY — The Jay Police Department will conduct an ATV safety course from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, June 26, at the Jay Community Building in the basement level. There is no charge to the public for the course.

Children from 10 to 15 years of age must be accompanied by an adult throughout the class. Each student should bring a lunch and a helmet if they have one.

Anyone wishing to take the course may call the Jay Police Department at 897-6766 between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.

1, 2, 3, Magic

FARMINGTON — The Franklin County Children’s Task Force will hold a 1, 2, 3 Magic workshop from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, June 19, at the office, 113 Church St.

Parents will learn the tools they need to engage their child in effective disciplining techniques by encouraging positive behavior, independence and self esteem.  The program also helps parents to manage difficult behaviors in children ages 2 to 12.
