The 60-year-old former physics teacher who hails from Portland won Survivor Gabon Season 17.

From July 5 through 8, Survivor Bob, as he is known, will conduct a four-day survival camp at Saddleback Mountain in Rangeley. The cost is $500 per participant.

Along with his assistant, registered Maine Guide Peter Christensen, Crowley will take participants into the woods each day for four days, focusing on fire-building techniques, cooking over fires, gathering food, shelter-building and navigation.

The third day will include an overnight camping experience in shelters that participants will create.

Survivor Bob will also share stories.

The camp is geared toward people interested in having “an enormously good time” with Bob in the great outdoors, according to a news release from Saddleback Mountain Ski Resort.

Families, couples and singles are welcome to attend. In fact, anyone age 10 and older who is able to walk in the woods for a few hours and carry a light pack (10 to 20 pounds) and loves to hear great stories is welcome.
