LIVERMORE FALLS — A 22-year-old man was stabbed Thursday night during a possible home invasion at an apartment on Vine Street, Livermore Falls Police Chief Ernest Steward Jr. said Friday.

A second man may have received a serious injuring during an altercation on the second floor apartment where the victim lives, Steward said.

Police put out an all-points bulletin on a light blue to medium blue car, possibly a Buick, that had two white males in it that was seen leaving the area, he said.

One of those men is the person who may have the serious injury and may seek medical attention, Steward said.

A 911 call came into Androscoggin County Sheriff's Department communication's center about 9:09 p.m., he said.

The caller reported that a person outside had been assaulted, Steward said.

When Lt. Thomas Gould and Sgt. Joe Sage arrived, they saw a man outside the building covered in blood, he said. The man had been stabbed in the hand, he said.

The victim is refusing to cooperate with police, Steward said.

Anyone with information or tips are asked to call the Livermore Falls Police Station at 897-6425 and either speak to the duty officer or leave a message in the general mailbox.
