Three injured in two-car collision in Wilton

WILTON —Three women were injured Monday afternoon when the vehicles they were in collided at the intersection of Route 2 and Maxwell Road, police said.

A sedan driven by Barbara Wardwell, 83, of Wilton was struck by a sedan driven by Tabitha Reed, 25, of Jay, police said in a news release.

All persons involved, including passenger Lauralee Bickford, 59, were taken to Franklin Memorial Hospital in Farmington for varying injuries.

The factors contributing to the collision remain under investigation by the Wilton Police Department. An accident reconstruction is being conducted by the Maine State Police and the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office.

Both agencies along with NorthStar Ambulance assisted Wilton Police at the crash scene.

That sexist comment was so easy to make, even a caveman like yourself could make it. Women may have more accidents per mile, but male drivers are twice as likely to die in an accident in which they are driving. Nuff said!!
