Frederick J. Russell

LEWISTON – Frederick “Ricky” J. Russell, 53, of 113 Blake St., Lewiston, went to be with his Heavenly Father on April 25, after a brief illness with his loving family by his side.

He was born in Lewiston on July 20, 1952, a son of the late Thomas and Irene (Pelletier) Russell.

Ricky attended Lewiston and Auburn schools. He went on to work locally in the Lewiston and Auburn area. He was a born-again believer and member of Fellowship Church in Greene. He attended services there with his late brother, Greg; his sister-in-law, Brenda Russell, and with his nieces and nephews, Scott and Tina Russell, Mary Chamberlain, Kimmy and Saldana; all of whom were very close to Ricky, supportive of him and were there for him till the end.

He loved music and would often deejay. He greatly enjoyed playing golf and pool; he enjoyed spending time with his family and attending their family reunions. He was quite a joker; many will remember him by his one-liners and various jokes.

He is survived by his sister, Rose (Russell) Albert of North Carolina; two brothers, Tommy Pelletier of Farmingdale and David Russell of Lewiston; his sister-in-law, Brenda Russell; a long-time friend, Butch; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

He was predeceased by his parents; and a brother, Greg Russell. Services will be held at a later date.
