Free Movie Night continues at Cumston

MONMOUTH — The Free Movie Night series will continue at Cumston Hall with the comic classic “Blithe Spirit” at 7 p.m. on Friday, May 27.

The series, a collaboration of The Theater at Monmouth and Cumston Public Library, offers free entertainment for the whole family. All movies will be shown in the library lower level in Cumston Hall.

It just so happens that every production that TAM plans to bring to stage this year has a film version. In this film, adapted from the play by Noel Coward, Charles and his second wife, Ruth, are haunted by the ghost of his first wife, Elvira. Medium Madame Arcati tries to help things out by contacting the ghost. The film stars Rex Harrison, Constance Cummings and Kay Hammond.

Snacks will be provided, with popcorn popped on-site in a vintage-style popcorn cart. Everything is free, but there is a suggested donation of $5 to help cover the cost of snacks for everyone.

RSVP by calling 933-9999 or emailing [email protected] so theater personnel will know how much popcorn to make. If unable to RSVP, simply show up.
