Frenette elected law firm director


AUBURN – Marc N. Frenette has been elected to be a shareholder and director at the firm of Skelton, Taintor & Abbott, with offices in Auburn. He joined the firm in 2001 after serving as a law clerk to Justice Robert Clifford, the Senior Associate Justice of the Maine Supreme Judicial Court.

Frenette graduated summa cum laude from the University of Maine School of Law in Portland. He graduated magna cum laude from Duke University in 1998. He graduated from St. Dominic Regional High School in 1994 and was valedictorian.

Frenette has worked on and advised many of the firm’s municipal, quasi-municipal, and business clients in the areas of school, municipal, land use and zoning, and corporate and business law.

He is a member of the Maine State Bar Association and is on the general committee for the Androscoggin County Bar Association. Frenette is a director of many nonprofit boards, and is a member of the supervisory committee of Ste. Croix Regional F.C.U.

Frenette was born and raised in Lewiston, where he lives with his wife, Lu Ann and their three children.
