Friends of Pettingill receive Plourde donation

The Alfred A. Plourde Memorial Scholarship fund awarded its remaining balance of $1,733.42 to the Friends of Pettingill, a group of volunteers who are working on a plan to renovate the Pettingill School Park. The donation was made by Janice Plourde, who has  administered the scholarship fund since its inception in 1990. Mrs. Plourde retired from her teaching position in 2012 after 53 years of working for the Lewiston School Department. The fund was established in memory of her husband Alfred A. Plourde, who served as mayor of Lewiston from 1984-1987.
