“Gadget Concierge” to speak at library

AUBURN — Scott Tharler, aka “The Gadget Concierge,” will visit the Auburn Public Library to demonstrate a variety of innovative new products likely to be in demand this holiday season. He will give his presentation at noon, Thursday, Nov. 4, in the Androscoggin Community Room at the library, 49 Spring St.

Tharler is a freelance writer who specializes in travel, gambling and technology-related subjects. His articles have appeared online on Travel and Leisure, Forbes Traveler and MSNBC, and he is the creator of Emazing’s Mobile and Wireless Tip of the Day and TipWorld’s Road Warrior Tip of the Day.

He keeps up with all the latest new technology in the course of his work, and he enjoys helping people connect with smart, useful gadgets that can improve their lives. Tharler also supports responsible gadget ownership, and will collect any old gadgets containing rechargeable batteries, such as cell phones, for recycling.

Participants may bring a bagged lunch to the program and the library will supply drinks and dessert.
