1923 – 2014
AUBURN — On Monday, Oct. 20, Georgette Bernadette Poliquin, 91, went to Heaven to join her husband, Rudy, and the many loved ones there waiting for her.
Georgette, the oldest of five children, was born on April 28, 1923, to George and Alma (Beaudoin) Giguere in Lewiston. She graduated from Lewiston High School in 1941 and Bliss Business College.
In 1947, she married Rudy Poliquin. Except for 1962 and ‘63, when they lived in Montreal, Georgette and Rudy spent their whole life and raised their family in the Lewiston-Auburn area.
After Rudy died in 1977, Georgette worked for 17 years as hostess at No Tomatoes Restaurant, where she made many friendships she cherished until the end.
She is survived by her daughter, Sandy Nadeau; sons, Bruce and Greg and his wife, Orette; grandsons, Evan and Josh Poliquin; granddaughter, Erica Robison and her daughters, Malayka and Jayden; grandson, Scott Harriman and his daughters, Tianna and Ava; and sister, Pauline Blais.
Georgette was predeceased by her beloved husband, Rudy; their daughter, Linda; brothers, Richard and Henry; sister, Therese Reissfelder; son-in-law, Mark Nadeau; and daughter-in-law, Mary Ann Poliquin.
