LEWISTON — Funeral services honoring the life of Gerard L. Langlois were held Friday, Dec. 19, at Pinette Dillingham & Lynch Funeral Home, with the Rev. Aaron Damboise presiding.

During the service, a Testament reading was proclaimed by Gerry’s brother, George Langlois, and the Prayer of the Faithful was recited by Gerry’s sister, Diane Surette.

The Knights of Columbus Honor Guard of the Rev. Peter Conroy, Fourth Degree Assembly No. 2516, in attendance were Norm Lebel, commander; Bob Dumond, grand knight; and Al Veins, faithful navigator; as well as fellow Knights, Bob Roberge and Ray Martineau, who together paid a final salute to their fellow Knight.

Following a funeral procession to the Maine Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery in Augusta, the Rev. Marc Nolette recited committal prayers, after which the U.S. Army Honor Detail played taps and presented our country’s flag to Gerry’s son, Brian, in recognition of his father’s service to his country during the Vietnam Conflict.

The pallbearers were Daniel and Brian Langlois and Jeff and Ryan Marquis, as well as Henry Michelon and Norman Langlois.

Arrangements were by Pinette Dillingham & Lynch Funeral Home of Lewiston.
