Gertrude “Trudy” G. Pray
1917 – 2010
LEWISTON — Gertrude “Trudy” G. Pray, 92, of 8 Holly St., Auburn, died Friday, March 26, at Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston.
Born in Grand Isle on Nov. 23, 1917, she was the daughter of Maxime and Helene Madore Grivois, and moved to Lewiston at a young age. Educated in local schools, she married Charlmer S. Pray in 1948, and together they raised and loved 10 children. Mr. Pray passed away on Sept. 14, 1987.
She had an adventurous and generous spirit, loved to travel, and lived life to the fullest. A member of St. Philip Church, Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish, she is survived by six children, Russell Pray and wife, Ethel, Marlene and husband, Gene Keene, Priscilla and husband, Joseph Pobe, Paula and husband, John Doyle, Mark Pray, and Jane and husband, Charles Marshall; daughter-in-law, Rita Pray; 40 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews, all with whom she had special and personal relationships.
Besides her parents and husband, she was predeceased by son, Charlie Pray and wife, Isabelle; daughter, Rose Marie and husband, Daniel Poland, daughter, Jackie and husband, Ray Laramee, and son, Fred Pray.
