Favorites: Hall-Dale and Madison have been jockeying for position all year long and it likely will continue next week in the tourney. Western C could come down to being the battle of the Bulldogs.
Hall-Dale is the defending C state champs while Madison won the regional title the year before. Hall-Dalle averaged 51.5 points and gave up 35.6 per game and won five straight and 10 or its last 11 in the regular season.
Madison scored 48.2 and allowed 35.4 points per game. Madison finished the season with four straight wins and then won the KVAC title game at the ACC.
Darkhorse: Waynflete has been a staple in Western C the last few years and been a contender during that five-year span. Though the Flyers lost seven games this year, four of those losses came against Western B teams. With Veroneau back draining 3’s on the perimeter, the Flyers will be a team to watch and not an easy matchup for Madison in the first round.
