Golden anniversary celebrated

AUBURN — Lucien and Genevieve Dussault of Auburn recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary at the home of their daughter, Rachel Robinov, in Cumberland.

Mr. Dussault and the former Genevieve Gagne of Winslow were married on Jan. 9, 1960, at St. John the Baptist Church, Winslow. Genevieve Marie Gagne was daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harvey E. Gagne of 74 Bay St, Winslow. Lucien Joseph Dussault, a lifetime resident of 115 South Main St., Auburn, was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Eusebe J. Dussault.

Helene Lavigueur of Noank, Conn., attended her sister as matron of honor. Albert H. Dussault of Auburn acted as best man for his brother. The wedding reception was held at the Elmwood Hotel, Waterville. Their honeymoon trip was to Montreal and skiing in the Laurentian Mountains.

In the years since, they have enjoyed traveling in the United States and Canada and cruising to Europe and South America. Mr. Dussault was the owner of Dussault’s Pharmacy in Auburn and in later years worked for the Maine Turnpike Authority. Mrs. Dussault was a bookkeeper for Solar Distributors, Ben Alpren Co., and also worked in other local businesses. She is an active member of Sacred Heart Parish in Auburn and volunteers in many organizations in Lewiston and Auburn.

They have two daughters, Sarah J. and husband, Gary Magnuson of Duxbury, Mass., and Rachel J. Robinov of Cumberland, and four grandchildren, Breya and Alec Robinov and Ashley and Erik Magnuson.
