Gorka will perform at Gould

BETHEL – Singer-songwriter John Gorka will perform at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, April 20, at Bingham Hall, as part of Gould Academy’s Performing Arts Series.

His music is hummable acoustic pop, but his favorite themes are familiar to any placard-waving folkie: freedom, faith, the environment and social justice.

In 1987, he released his first album, “I Know.” He has toured the United States as well as Italy, Belgium, Scotland, Ireland, Holland, Switzerland and Germany. In 1998, after five successful recordings he returned to his musical roots at Red House Records.

Tickets to see Gorka will be available at the door on the night of the show, adults $6 and students $4.
