FARMINGTON — Guy C. Bubier, 66, a former resident of Bubier Road, Wilton, died early Friday, May 7, at Edgewood Manor Nursing Home.
He was born Oct. 7, 1943, in Wilton, the son of Charles and Zelma (Laken) Bubier. He attended Wilton Academy. He worked for Wilton Tannery, Bass Shoe, Forster Manufacturing and Diaz Construction.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, farming, his vegetable garden and mechanics. He also enjoyed going to the Maine State Fairs and competing in the sheep and cattle divisions.
He is survived by his former wife, Christine Couture of Jay; four daughters, Suzanne Galligan of Wilton, Jennifer Gardiner of Clinton, Rebecca Bubier and her companion, Frank Moody Jr., of Farmington and Heather Kennedy and her husband, Kevin, of Wilton; seven grandchildren, Steven Bubier, Shantel Moody, Guy Paul Gardiner, Trista Moody, Taylor Moody, Tyler Bubier and Christopher Kennedy; five stepgrandchildren; eight stepgreat-grandchildren; three brothers, Ervin Bubier of Perry, Ernest Bubier and his wife, Karen, of Duncanville, Pa., and Terry Bubier of Louden, N.H.
He was predeceased by his parents; and sister, Charlotte Robinson.
