‘Guys and Dolls’ showcases local talent

BUCKFIELD — Opening night for “Guys and Dolls” at Buckfield Junior-Senior High School on Thursday was summed up by Tom Ward, RSU 10 superintendent, when he said, “I was here for the warm-up and I have never seen that much talent in one place.”

Most of the 180 seats were taken and the crowd was responsive.

Co-director Megan Wright, who works at Hartford-Sumner Elementary School, said during intermission that the show was going much better than rehearsals because the kids were getting so much feedback from the audience.

Also during intermission, Ward said, “The kids really get into what they are doing and take such pride in their work. And that’s due to director Ethan Wright.”
