TURNER — H. Everett “Lenny” Leonard, III, 63, of Turner, passed away peacefully Wednesday, Dec. 3, surrounded by his family.
He was born in Portland on June 2, 1951, the son of H. Everett Leonard Jr. and Catherine Gramer Leonard.
Lenny’s passions included hunting, deep-sea fishing and golf. He enjoyed competitive archery with family and friends.
Lenny served his community as an EMT and law enforcement officer for many years. He later went on to become a truck driver.
He was predeceased by his parents and his beloved daughter, Stephanie Collins.
He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Laurel Leonard; his son, E. Tyler Leonard of Turner; and daughter, Miranda Ryan of Scarborough. Surviving grandchildren include, Kaydence and Landon Leonard, Carter and Tanner Ryan, and William and Jonathan Collins. Also surviving are six sisters and one brother, Maureen “Renee” Campbell (David) of Mechanic Falls, Dale Bernard (Paul) of Turner, George Estabrook (Diane) of Auburn, Andrea Davis of Turner, Tracey Gilbert (Russell) of Buckfield, Lisa Gilbert (Timothy) of Turner and Tammy Allen (Robert) of Buckfield.
Lenny was a big man with an even bigger heart and touched the lives of many. He was deeply loved and will be missed.
