Half Moon Jug Band will play

WINTHROP -The Half Moon Jug Band is set to take the stage at 7 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 27, to perform a benefit concert at the Winthrop Performing Arts Center at Winthrop High School. A portion of the night’s proceeds will go toward the center.

The Half Moon Jug Band performs folk music. Members play banjos, guitars, mandolins, drums and electric bass. They round out their sound with strong vocals, trumpet and kazoo.

Not content to merely play music at their gigs, the band enjoys interaction with its audiences – offering jokes and stories and requiring sing-alongs.

Tickets are $7/$10 and can be purchased at the door. For more information, contact the band at 650-7867; or David Setchell, PAC director, at 377-2228, ext.114.
