BALTIMORE, Md. — The wedding of Denise Hanna and Jeremiah John Cottle was held Sept. 19 at the Loyola University of Maryland Alumni Memorial Chapel on Sept. 19. The Rev. William Franken of St. John the Evangelist Parish officiated.
Shaun Hagan, undergraduate friend of the bridegroom, performed the duties of best man. The sister of the bride, Cathy Boegner, served as matron of honor.
A cocktail hour and formal reception followed at the Hyatt Regency Hotel on the Inner Harbor in Baltimore. The couple honeymooned on the Rivera Maya in Mexico.
The bride, originally from Dublin, Ireland, is a 1999 graduate of Mercy High School in Baltimore. She received her undergraduate degree in psychology, audiology and speech-language pathology in 2003 from Towson University in Maryland and her master’s degree in the same discipline in 2005 from Loyola College in Maryland. She is currently a licensed speech-language pathologist in the Baltimore City Public School.
Mr. Cottle, son of Glennice E. Cottle of Avon and the late John S. Cottle, was born in Waterville and grew up in Avon, graduating from Mt. Abram Regional High School in 1996. In 2000 he received a bachelor’s degree, cum laude, in history and philosophy from St. Joseph’s College in Maine, a jurist doctorate degree from Quinnipiac University School of Law in Connecticut in 2003 and a master of laws degree in intellectual property, commerce and technology in 2004 from Franklin Pierce Law Center in New Hampshire. An admitted attorney in Maine, Connecticut and the District of Columbia, the bridegroom is currently employed in Washington, D.C., by the United States Department of Homeland Security.
The couple resides in Columbia, Md.
