RANDOLPH — Harold Lee Goggin, 66, of West Forks and Randolph, died unexpectedly from a heart attack on April 28.

Harold was born in Moncton, New Brunswick, Canada, on Jan. 8, 1945, the oldest of five children of Lee and Eleanor Eagles Goggin. Harold was a 1963 graduate of Gardiner Area High School and served in the United States Coast Guard.

He spent 25 years in the line department at Central Maine Power Company, retiring in 1995. Harold had a lifetime passion for hunting and fishing and his love of the outdoors led him to spend most of his retirement years at his camp in the Forks. Harold enjoyed time with his grandchildren, sharing his knowledge and skills of hunting and fishing. In addition, Harold enjoyed snowmobiling, target shooting and was meticulous at reloading. When not participating in his hobbies Harold could be found helping or enjoying the company of his many friends in the Forks and around Moxie Pond, where he will be greatly missed.

Harold is survived by his daughter, Melissa Stanley, and her husband, Skip Stanley, of Oxford; his son and daughter-in-law, Brett and Melissa Goggin, of Minot; his stepdaughter, Michelle Morgan, and her husband, Fred Morgan, of Augusta; his grandchildren, Kristina, Cassidy, and Katlyn Lowe, Lillian Hakanson, Aaron and Curtis Stanley, Montana Goggin and Tyler and Jennifer Morgan; his brother, Robert “Bob” Goggin, of Weeks Mills; his sisters, Phyllis True, and her partner, Bob Wing, of Weeks Mills, Barbara “Barbie” Wyman, and her husband, Bob, of Homosassa, Fla., and Betty Balderston and her husband, Lloyd, of Winthrop; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Harold was predeceased by his wife, Carol Rawson Goggin, of Randolph, in March, 2009; his father, Lee Warren Goggin Jr., of Randolph and Weeks Mills, in March, 1999; his mother, Eleanor Eagles Goggin, of Randolph and Weeks Mills, in Jan., 2010; and his brother-in-law, Howard True, in 1990.
