Harrison car crash injures 2

HARRISON – Two 19-year-old men were hurt early Saturday morning when their car rolled over on Route 117 near the Deer Hill Road, throwing both from the vehicle.

Richard Larsen of Oxford, a passenger in the car, was taken by LifeFlight helicopter to Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston, where he was listed in serious condition in the intensive care unit, police said.

The driver of the car, Jarred Smith of South Paris, was taken by ambulance to Stephens Memorial Hospital, police said. Hospital officials were unable to release Smith’s condition Saturday night.

Deputies from the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office were working Saturday to reconstruct how the 4 a.m. crash took place.

No criminal charges were filed, and the crash remained under investigation, police said.
