Mt. Blue 10, Brewer 4
FARMINGTON — Mt. Blue erupted for six runs in the fourth inning and raced away to a 10-4 victory over Bewer in a KVAC baseball matchup Tuesday.
Jimmy Neal smashed a two-run home run in the third inning to give the Cougars (9-3) a 4-1 advantage. Brad Jackson was Mt. Blue’s lone repeat hitter. Catcher Nick Hilton contributed three RBIs.
Nick Moore led the Witches (6-7) with two hits and two RBIs. Joey Bartol suffered the loss.
Buckfield sweeps Forest Hills
BUCKFIELD — The Buckfield baseball squad was fired up Tuesday, hustling to 19-9 and 10-8 wins over Forest Hills in an EWC doubleheader.
In the opener, Alan Hedrick and Dalton Hart each had multiple hits and RBIs as the Bucks (6-3) utilized a well-balanced attack to take control. Owen Bennett and Devon Carlile chipped in with a double and triple, respectively.
Evan Worster and Spencer Conrad led Forest Hills (4-7) with two hits apiece, while Dave Ouellette suffered the loss.
In the nightcap, Bennett belted out three hits and Hedrick was solid on the mound as Buckfield completed the sweep. Ethan Levesque led Forest Hills in Game 2 with an RBI double, while Matt Turner was tagged with the loss.
St. Dom’s 15, Lincoln 0
AUBURN — Cody Rodrigue made seven saves while his teammates offered plenty of scoring, as St. Dom’s continued its hot streak with a 15-0 shutout over Lincoln Academy in boy’s lacrosse action Tuesday.
Troy Haefele led the undefeated Saints (11-0) with five goals and eight assists, while Matt Adams tallied four goals with three assists. Anthony Fagone also contributed three goals, while single tallies by Robert St. Hilaire, Shawn O’Connell and Spencer Martin completed the scoring.
Martin Shott turned aside 12 shots in the cage for Lincoln (3-7).
Brunswick 16, Oxford Hills 4
BRUNSWICK — Susannah Smith scored four goals and made two assists to propel Brunswick to a 16-4 rout over Oxford Hills in a girls’ lacrosse tilt Tuesday.
Dakota Foster, Corrinne O’Connor and Lydia Caputi chipped in for the Dragons (8-2) with three goals each, while Annie Kelly tallied two goals. A single tally by Liz Faulkner completed the scoring. Molly Herman made 10 saves to notch the win.
The Vikings (6-4) received three goals from Hannah Warren, while Marisa Hanning also tallied. Audrey Komulainen turned back 11 shots in the cage for Oxford Little.
PARIS — Ashlee Arnold got on with a single in the 10th inning, stole second and came home with the winning run when Emily Johnson singled, allowing Edward Little to shake off Oxford Hills for a 3-2 victory in a KVAC softball game Tuesday.
Miranda Martin went the distance for Edward Little. Heather Verrier did the same for the Vikings (8-4). Breanna Martin and Verrier tripled for Oxford Hills. EL outhit Oxford Hills, 14-11.
Arnold had three hits for the Red Eddies and catcher Kennedy Hubbard clouted a double and a pair of singles.
