Historic UNH building getting remake

DURHAM, N.H. (AP) – The first building constructed on the University of New Hampshire campus is getting a major facelift.

Work began last month on Thompson Hall, with its signature clock tower. The $5 million project aims to restore the building true to its history. The work began after eight years of research into the materials used to build the original structure in 1893.

The project is expected to be completed by December.
