RANGELEY — Saddleback will hold a brief Easter service at 9:30 a.m. Sunday, April 4, in the Warming Hut at the top of the Rangeley Chair Lift. The Rev. Peter Panagore of DailyDevotions.org will give the service and Bob Underwood will play the bagpipes.
Along with the bagpipes, there will be an accompanying singer and guitarist. There will also be an Easter egg hunt and costume parade later in the day, said Warren Cook, CEO and general manager of Saddleback. To attend the service a season pass or lift ticket is needed.
FARMINGTON — The Farmington Area Ecumenical Ministry will sponsor an Easter sunrise service at approximately 6:16 a.m. Sunday, April 4, on Voter Hill. Those attending should meet at the intersection, a short way after the farm buildings.
The half-hour service will be held rain or shine. Participants are reminded to dress warmly and wear boots. Following the service, all are invited for muffins and beverages to be served at the home of Fred and Denise Brittain. This year’s continental breakfast will be served by members of one of the local FAEM churches.
EAST WILTON — The Pilgrim Commandery 19 Knights Templar of Farmington will hold its annual Easter service and breakfast at the new Farmington-Wilton Masonic Hall, Bryant Road. The service will be held at 7:30 a.m. Sunday, April 4.
All Sir Knights and Masons are invited to attend along with their sons and grandsons. Donations will be accepted for the breakfast.
JAY — Bean’s Corner Baptist Church, at the intersection of Routes 156 and 133, has announced Easter season services.
The Good Friday service, on April 2, will begin at 6:30 p.m. It will include musical reflections and communion.
Easter Sunday, April 4, will begin with a “SonRose” service at 8 a m., followed by a fellowship breakfast. A family Sunday School for all ages will be held at 9:15.
The worship service at 10:30 a.m. will include congregational singing, readings and several anthems on the Easter resurrection message by the church choir. There will be no evening service.
