FARMINGTON – Franklin Memorial Hospital will soon offer urology services at the location of Dr. Michael Parker’s offices on Middle Street to provide continuity of care for area patients needing urology services.

The hospital has agreed to take over the practice and lease the space from Parker, who has announced that he will become director of Central Maine Medical Center’s regional urology services and will close his practice on May 12 after 24 years.

Susan Ferra, a nurse practitioner who has been practicing with Parker for seven months, will continue with the practice and provide services along with Dr. Ronald Sagalowsky, an experienced urologist, who will provide specialized services while recruitment for a permanent physician takes place. Other members of Parker’s staff will also be joining the practice.

Sagalowsky is a board-certified urologist who has operated a private urology practice in Indianapolis since 1977. He is a diplomat of the American Board of Urology and a member of the American Urological Association.

Franklin Urology will offer treatment for a full range of urological disorders and conditions. Pine Tree Medical Associates is overseeing the management of Franklin Urology. For additional information, call 778-4353.
