AUBURN — The Corporate and Community Services Department at Central Maine Community College will offer Human Resources Boot Camp on March 2 and 9 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The cost of the program is $495 and includes all materials.
This interactive and highly informative series is designed for individuals new to the human resources profession or supervisors and managers who need to understand the human resources function. This introductory course will offer a comprehensive overview of the human resources roles and responsibilities and provides critical information to help reduce potentially costly lawsuits and improve employee management skills. Topics include: human resource management, recruitment and selection, employee development, performance management, employment law and compensation and benefits.
This training program is ideal for human resource generalists, managers and supervisors from any type of business or nonprofit environment.
The course will be facilitated by Beverly MacCallum. MacCallum is human resources business partner and assistant vice president for Androscoggin Bank. She holds a bachelor of science degree in business management from Bentley College in Waltham, Mass., and has earned her senior professional of human resources designation from the Human Resources Certification Institute. She is a member and past president of Central Maine Human Resources Association.
