DEAR SUN SPOTS: We are excited to announce that Norway Soft Serve, 65 Main St. in South Paris, is hosting a fundraiser titled Come Help Us Lick Cancer. It will be held from 11 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. on Father’s Day, June 17. A portion of all sales will be donated to the Cancer Resource Center of Western Maine. Norway Soft Serve will create a couple of special ice cream flavors just for this event. Come check it out.

The Cancer Resource Center of Western Maine at 199 Main St., Norway, is open from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursdays and Fridays for drop-in visits. Stop in to pick up a calendar of their free programs for anyone impacted by cancer, including survivors and caregivers. They also have a variety of comfort items such as hats, pillows, port protectors and wigs. DEAR SUN SPOTS: I have to thank you immensely for printing my request back in April asking for artists to contribute their work to my hospice project. It has been hugely successful.
