Improvisation master will perform in Paris


PARIS — On Saturday, June 5, Celebration Barn Theater will present an “Evening of Improvisation,” hosted by the legendary Keith Johnstone.

One of the few internationally recognized authorities in the field of improvisation, Johnstone has created Theatresports, which is known worldwide, Gorilla Theatre and The Life Game. His books “Impro” and “Impro For Storytellers” have been translated into many languages. He founded the Theatre Machine improvisation group and the International Theatresports Institute, and was co-founder of Calgary’s Loose Moose Theatre.

Johnstone will return to Celebration Barn for the fifth year to teach his improvisation workshop, which includes 22 students from the United States, Canada and Japan. The workshop will culminate with this show.

“Evening of Improvisation” will begin at 8 p.m. Doors open 30 minutes before showtime. Seating is general admission. Tickets are $14 for adults, $12 for seniors, $8 for students and kids.
