AUBURN — Irene F. Cote, 84, formerly of 1058 Main St., Lewiston, died early Friday, Oct. 29, at Clover Health Care Facility.
She was born in Lewiston, July 16, 1926, the daughter of Daniel and Pearl (Wight) Hopkins.
Irene married Bert Cote on Dec. 27, 1943, and together they had six children. She enjoyed traveling, gardening, and was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.
Survivors include one son, Bertrand “Roland” Cote and his wife, Colette, of Lewiston; four daughters, Jacqueline Holbrook and her husband, William, of Greene, Christine Anderson and her husband, Dennis, of South Paris, Bonnie Colby and her husband, Paul, of Buckfield and Brenda Cote and her partner, Trudy Chase, of Brunswick; 15 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Bertrand A. Cote; a daughter, Donna Lee Cote; four sisters, Madeline, Mary, Dorothy, and Geraldine; and one brother, Daniel.
