LEWISTON — Irene A. Gastonguay, 77, of 3 Sylvan Ave., Lewiston, died at her home on Feb. 18.
She was born in Lewiston, May 18, 1934, the daughter of Lucien and Simone Marcotte Gastonguay. Educated locally, she was a graduate of St. Dominic Regional High School, Class of 1951, and attended the Auburn Maine School of Commerce.
Prior to her retirement, she was employed for many years as a branch manager for Casco Northern Bank, and was very active in the American Institute of Banking.
She enjoyed playing piano, and, in her younger years, was an avid figure skater. She loved being an aunt to her four nephews, and devoted much of her adult life to caring for her ailing parents, aunts and uncles.
A member of the Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul, Prince of Peace Parish, she is survived by her sister, Helen and husband, Lewis L. Incze, of Lewiston; four nephews, Lewis S. Incze and wife, Liz, of Cumberland Foreside, Daniel Incze of Lewiston, Michael Incze and wife, Cindy, of Middletown, R.I., and Bruce Incze and wife, Diane, of Portsmouth, R.I.; and several grandnieces, grandnephews and cousins.
