James F. ‘Jim’ Corbett Sr.

1960 – 2010

CHESTERVILLE — James F. “Jim” Corbett Sr. ,49, of Chesterville, died unexpectedly on Thursday evening, April 22, at his home in Chesterville.

He was born on June 20, 1960, in Farmington, the son of William and Marie (Clark) Corbett Jr.

Jim worked for many years with Smokey’s Greater Shows, traveling the fair circuit. He also worked at Bass Shoe in Wilton.

He enjoyed living every day to the fullest, being in the outdoors, hunting, fishing and riding motorcycles. His greatest pleasure was time spent with his family, which he loved very much.

He is survived by his wife, Florence, of Chesterville; two sons, William Stevens and James Corbett Jr.; five stepchildren, Eugene Burnell, William Glidden Jr., Raqueal Glidden, Doug Glidden and Chuck Hogan; a sister, Cathy Stevens; three stepgrandchildren; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and good friends.

He was predeceased by his parents; a brother, William “Tink” Corbett III; and a stepdaughter, Sabrina Glidden.
