AUBURN — Janet B. Richard, 88, a lifelong resident of Turner, died Thursday, Aug. 6, at Clover Manor Nursing Home in Auburn.
She was born Oct. 18, 1926, in Turner, the daughter of Clinton and Germaine (Fisher) Weston. She was educated in Turner, graduating from Leavitt Institute in 1945. Janet loved to garden, sew and cook. She enjoyed family gatherings, long rides and occasionally eating out. She worked several jobs throughout the years with her last employment at the BD Store in Lewiston for several years as manager.
Janet leaves four daughters, Dianne L. and her husband, Buzz Stevens, of Ocala, Fla., Nancy L. Saucier of Turner, Carole A. Packard of Corinth and Lianne M. Bedard of Hartford; son, Gus L. Richard of Oxford; eight grandchildren, Laurie and her husband, Brad Andre, Angela Stevens and her partner, Travis Perez, Julie and Wendy Jordan, Jade and Molly Packard, Joey and Cassie Bedard; and nine great-grandchildren, Erik, Taylor, Chase, Victoria, Julia, Greyson, Brooke, Brianna and Baylee. Janet also leaves a niece, Susan (Coolidge) and her husband, Reggie Strout, of Strong; and a nephew, Gary and his wife, Patty Coolidge, of Wilton.
Janet was predeceased by her parents; sisters, Irene Durgin and Rita Coolidge; brother, Lloyd Weston; niece, Marlene (Durgin) Morris; stepdaughter, Jeannette R. Richard; and daughter-in-law, Karen (Angel) Richard. She was also predeceased by her former husbands, Augustine (Gus) Richard and Leo Richard.
