Jeanne N. Turcotte
LEWISTON — Jeanne N. Turcotte, 94, formerly of 241 South Main St., Auburn, died peacefully Saturday at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center.
She was born in Auburn, Jan. 13, 1916, the daughter of the late Narcisse and Atella Marchand Lavallee. Jeanne attended St. Louis School in New Auburn. She married Leopold Turcotte Nov. 12, 1945, and he passed away in 1964.
She dedicated her life to her family, raising her two beloved sons.
She worked as a nurse’s aide until her retirement in 1978. She was a member of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish at St. Louis Church, Ladies of Ste. Anne Sodality and New Auburn Senior Citizens for many years. She enjoyed the company of her many friends and family, playing cards, bingo and senior citizen trips. She touched many lives with her wonderful sense of humor and brought much joy to those who knew her.
She is survived by her children, John Paul Turcotte of Bolster Heights, Auburn, and Marc Turcotte and daughter-in-law Rachel Turcotte of Auburn; her beloved grandson, Steven Turcotte and his wonderful wife, Heather, of Lewiston and a beautiful great-granddaughter, Hailey Jeanne Turcotte.
Jeanne will be sadly missed by all who were blessed to have known her.
